Motion that explains, guides and brands

We design motion for brands and products — animated logos, interface transitions, explainer sequences and social loops — so movement clarifies what is happening, directs attention and feels consistent with your identity.

Overview

Building a motion language

Motion is defined by a small set of variables: duration, easing, distance, and the order in which elements move. A motion language sets rules for each. Quick, snappy easing feels efficient; slower curves feel calm and premium. Elements entering from the direction of navigation reinforce where the user is going. Once those rules are fixed, every animation, from a button press to a launch film, feels related.

The core trade-off is expression against restraint. Brand pieces like logo animations and campaign films can be bold. Interface motion should be subtle and brief, because users see it hundreds of times and long animations become irritating. We define different intensity levels for each context within one shared language, so a product and its advertising feel connected without the product feeling slow.

Good motion also respects accessibility. Some users experience discomfort from large movement, so we design reduced-motion alternatives that preserve meaning with fades instead of slides, and we avoid flashing that could cause harm. Accessible motion is documented in the guide, so every new piece of work includes it by default rather than as an afterthought added late in development.

Who it’s for

Built for teams like yours

  • 01

    Digital product teams

App and web product teams that want interface transitions and feedback animations specified clearly enough for engineers to build consistently on every platform and in every new feature.

  • 02

    Brands in a refresh

Companies updating their identity who want motion included from the start, so the logo, typography and graphics have defined behaviors across video, social and digital channels.

  • 03

    Content and social teams

Marketing teams producing frequent video and social content who need reusable animated templates, lower thirds and transitions that keep output consistent and quick to produce.

Why it matters

Movement with a job to do

Good motion is not decoration. In an interface it shows where something came from and what changed. In a brand it adds personality to a logo or a launch. In marketing it compresses an idea into a few seconds people actually watch. We decide what each motion must communicate before deciding how it should move.

Everything follows a shared motion language — timing, easing and rhythm — so animation feels like your brand wherever it appears. We document that language so in-house designers, video editors and developers can apply it to new work without starting over each time.

Every engagement includes

  • Creative briefwhat each piece must communicate, where it will run and how it fits the brand.
  • Style frameskey still frames showing the look before animation begins, approved by you.
  • Animaticsrough timing passes to agree pacing and sequence before detailed animation work.
  • Final animationpolished motion in After Effects or similar, with sound design where needed.
  • Format exportsLottie, MP4, GIF or WebM versions sized for each platform and use case.
  • Project fileseditable source files and motion guidelines transferred to you for future work.

Features

Where motion earns its place

  1. 01

    Motion language guidelines

Rules for timing, easing, distance and rhythm, so every animation across channels feels related.

  2. 02

    Animated logo marks

Logo reveals and stings for video intros, app launches and social content, built from your existing identity.

  3. 03

    Interface micro-interactions

Button feedback, loading states and transitions that make an app feel responsive and easier to follow.

  4. 04

    Explainer motion graphics

Short animated sequences that show how a product or process works more clearly than text can.

  5. 05

    Social and ad loops

Short loops and cutdowns sized for each platform, designed to read with the sound off.

  6. 06

    Developer-ready exports

Lottie files, video formats and timing specs that engineers can implement without guessing at the intent.

In practice

Motion projects we deliver

  • Animated logo and brand sting

We animate your mark into short intro and outro stings for videos, presentations and social, with several lengths and a static end frame, all following the same timing principles as the rest of the brand.

  • App onboarding and transitions

We design screen transitions, loading states and onboarding animations, export them as Lottie files or spec them for native code, and document durations and easing curves so engineers can reproduce them exactly.

  • Templates for video editors

We build editable templates for titles, captions, lower thirds and end cards in After Effects or Premiere Pro, so in-house editors can produce on-brand videos without animating from scratch. Each comes with instructions.

  • Website motion and scroll effects

We design hover states, page transitions and scroll-triggered reveals with performance in mind, providing specs or code-ready assets and reduced-motion fallbacks so effects add clarity without slowing the site down.

Process

How we work

  1. 1

    Motion audit

We review how motion is used today across your product, videos and social, noting inconsistencies in speed, style and direction, and identify where motion would make information clearer. This gives the project a baseline.

  2. 2

    Principles

We define a few motion principles in words, such as precise, calm or energetic, then translate them into concrete timing scales, easing curves and choreography rules with visual examples. Each rule includes a short example clip.

  3. 3

    Style frames

We design key frames for priority pieces to lock the visual look, then produce short motion studies showing how elements enter, react and exit using the agreed rules. This keeps feedback specific.

  4. 4

    Production

We animate the final pieces in After Effects or code-friendly tools, sharing work-in-progress cuts for timing feedback before polishing details, sound and secondary movement. Interface animations are tested inside real screens to check timing in context.

  5. 5

    Documentation and export

We export every asset in its required formats, from Lottie to MP4, and compile a motion guide with timing tokens, easing values and reduced-motion rules for designers and developers. Files are named consistently.

Frequently asked questions

Anything else about Motion design? Ask us directly.

  1. Animation is the broad craft of making things move, including character work and storytelling. Motion design applies movement to graphic and interface elements such as typography, logos, icons and UI, usually to explain, guide or brand. We offer both; motion design is the right fit when the subject is your brand or product.
