Overview

Choosing the right kind of animation

Animation covers several distinct crafts. Two-dimensional motion graphics move shapes, type and icons and suit explainers and data stories. Character animation adds people or mascots, which builds warmth but takes more time to produce. Three-dimensional animation shows products and spaces from any angle. Whiteboard and kinetic type styles sit at the simpler end. We recommend a style based on what your audience needs to understand.

The script decides more than the visuals. Most explainers work best between sixty and ninety seconds, which leaves room for roughly one problem, one solution and one call to action. Trying to cover every feature produces a long video people stop watching. We help you cut the message down before any frame is drawn, because changes become slower once animation has started.

Good animation has deliberate pacing: time to read on-screen text, visual changes that follow the voiceover, and sound that supports rather than competes. It should also make sense with the sound off, since many people watch social video muted. That is why we design on-screen text to carry the key points, add captions to every export, and check each cut with the audio turned off before delivery.

Built for teams like yours

  • 01

    Software and tech companies

Teams selling products that are hard to film or explain in a sentence, who need to show how something works, what problem it solves and why it matters, quickly.

In practice

Where animation works hardest

  • Homepage explainer video

A short animated explainer near the top of a homepage can answer what you do and how it works before visitors scroll away. We keep it brief, captioned and focused on a single next step.

  • Product feature walkthroughs

Animated walkthroughs show software features without the clutter of screen recordings. We simplify the interface, highlight the relevant steps, and produce short clips that can be reused in help centers and sales emails.

  • Animated data stories

Survey results, annual figures and research findings become easier to follow when charts build step by step. We animate your data accurately and pace each reveal so viewers absorb one point at a time.

  • Event and conference openers

Stage screens need motion designed for large displays and loud rooms. We create opening titles, speaker introductions and looping holding slides matched to the event’s branding and the venue’s screen formats.

Process

How we work

  1. 1

    Script

We write or edit the script with you, timing it aloud to match the target length. Every line must earn its place, and we agree on the call to action before moving forward.

  2. 2

    Storyboard

We sketch each scene with the matching script line, showing what moves and what appears on screen. This is the cheapest stage to restructure, so we review it carefully together.

  3. 3

    Style frames

We design a handful of finished stills to lock the illustration style, colors and typography. Approving these first prevents surprises once the full animation is in production. Character designs are approved here too.

  4. 4

    Voice and animation

We record or source voiceover, then build the animatic and final motion around its timing, sharing a draft cut for feedback before final polish and effects are added. Timing changes are easiest at this point.

  5. 5

    Sound and delivery

We add licensed music, sound effects and captions, mix the audio, and export versions for each platform, including vertical, square and widescreen formats where needed. We also deliver caption files so platforms display text correctly.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Anything else about Animation? Ask us directly.

  1. Price depends on length, style and complexity — a short animated logo sting is quick, while a 90-second explainer with custom illustration, voiceover and sound design is a bigger production.
